Manual: Settings-Questions

The Questions settings control the operation of the Password Reset Questions within the Site.

[n]

Each Question Setting contains the text associated with a single Reset Password question. This corresponds directly to a Users table of the same name (in the form dusQuestion[n]) that contains the User's response to Services: Questions.

While these Settings can be directly edited via Administrator: Options-Settings for simple text changes, the Administrator is encouraged to make use of Administrator: Database-Questions to insure that the database fields and the related Settings stay properly synchonized.

Duplicates (default=3)
The number of Questions that can have the same answer. This also has the effect of permitting Questions to remain unanswered. Default is "3".
IgnoreBlanks (default=1)
Indicates if Profile-Questions will ignore Blanks (1) or not (0) for the purposes of determining Duplicates. Default is "1".
Minimum (default=5)
The minimum number of Questions that must have a non-blank response. Default is "5".

The Webmaster is reminded that, once established and after Site Users have responded to a Question, changing the text of the question is highly likely to introduce unwanted confusion associated with the Question and corresponding response. Always delete a Question and add a new one (using Administrator: Database-Questions) if you would like to replace a Question as this will cause the deletion of the corresponding database response field.
