The Notify (Notification) Settings specify which Notify Activities within the system are active and available to Site Users to receive notification about (provided the User is not the individual that performed the action that produced the Activity). The Notify Activity identities are in the general form of {Role}.{Activity}, as follows:
- Administrator.Audit
- A message is generated containing before and after values when a Database Table has a specified data field value change. Setting=Administrator.Audit contains a list of the data fields that will be monitored.
- Administrator.MessageNotice
- Destination(s) for any Message Notifications issued via Setting=MessageNotice
- Assessor.Assignment
- A message is generated when the Assessor has been associated with or removed from an Assignment on a Match.
- Assessor.AssignmentUpdate
- A message is generated to the Assessor when a Match where the Assessor is a member of the Crew has one or more key elements of the Match modified (the case sensitive field names are defined at Setting=MatchKeys). This is the same as Assessor.MatchUpdate except the comparison for difference is restricted by the webmaster to a subset of the Matches table fields.
- Assessor.CrewChange
- A message is generated when a change is made to any Position or Position Status on the Crew assigned to a Match that includes the Assessor.
- Assessor.MatchUpdate
- A message is generated to the Assessor when a Match where the Assessor is a member of the Crew has one or more non-Position related elements of the Match modified.
- Assignor.AssignmentAccept
- A message is generated when a Referee Accepts an Assignment where the Assignor has responsibility for the Match
- Assignor.AssignmentReject
- A message is generated when a Referee Rejects an Assignment where the Assignor has responsibility for the Match
- Assignor.AssignmentUpdate
- A message is generated to the Assignor when a Match where the Assignor has responsibility has one or more key elements of the Match modified (the case sensitive field names are defined at Setting=MatchKeys). This is the same as Assignor.MatchUpdate except the comparison for difference is restricted by the webmaster to a subset of the Matches table fields.
- Assignor.Audit

- Assignor.GameUpdate
- A message is generated when a Game where the Assignor has responsibility has one or more non-Position related elements of the Game modified.

- A message is generated when a Match where the Assignor has responsibility has one or more non-Position related elements of the Match modified.
- Assignor.Request
- A message is generated when a Referee completes a Request for an Assignment.
- Assignor.SelfAssign
- A message is generated when any Referee completes a SelfAssign operation on a Match the Assignor has responsibility for
- Assignor.Turnback
- A message is generated when any Referee completes a Turnback on a Match the Assignor has responsibility for
- ClubOfficer.MatchChange
- A message is generated to the ClubOfficer when a Match where the ClubOfficer has an identifable connection has one or more key elements of the Match modified (the case sensitive field names are defined at Setting=MatchKeys).
- Coach.MatchChange
- A message is generated to the Coach when a Match where the Coach has an identifable connection has one or more key elements of the Match modified (the case sensitive field names are defined at Setting=MatchKeys).
- Finance.Audit
- A message is generated containing before and after values when a Database Table has a specified data field value change. Setting=Finance.Audit contains a list of the data fields that will be monitored.
- Member.MatchChange
- A message is generated to the Member when a Match where the Member has an identifable connection has one or more key elements of the Match modified (the case sensitive field names are defined at Setting=MatchKeys).
- Referee.Assignment
- A message is generated when the Referee has been associated with or removed from an Assignment on a Match.
- Referee.AssignmentUpdate
- A message is generated to the Referee when a Match where the Referee is a member of the Crew has one or more key elements of the Match modified (the case sensitive field names are defined at Setting=MatchKeys). This is the same as Referee.MatchUpdate except the comparison for difference is restricted by the webmaster to a subset of the Matches table fields.
- Referee.CrewChange
- A message is generated when a change is made to any Position or Position Status on the Crew assigned to a Match that includes the Referee.
- Referee.MatchUpdate
- A message is generated to the Referee when a Match where the Referee is a member of the Crew has one or more non-Position related elements of the Match modified.
- Referee.Turnback
- A message is generated when any other Referee completes a Turnback on any Match
- Services.Mail
- A message is generated when when a Mail message produced via Mail's Compose, Reply, or Forward is received
- Services.NewMail
- A message is generated when a Site based Mail message is received
- Staff.Audit
- A message is generated containing before and after values when a Database Table has a specified data field value change. Setting=Staff.Audit contains a list of the data fields that will be monitored.
- Staff.MatchChange
- A message is generated to the Staff when a Match where the Staff has an identifable connection has one or more key elements of the Match modified (the case sensitive field names are defined at Setting=MatchKeys).
- TeamStaff.MatchChange
- A message is generated to the TeamStaff when a Match where the TeamStaff has an identifable connection has one or more key elements of the Match modified (the case sensitive field names are defined at Setting=MatchKeys).
- Treasurer.Audit
- A message is generated containing before and after values when a Database Table has a specified data field value change. Setting=Treasurer.Audit contains a list of the data fields that will be monitored.
- Umpire.Assignment
- A message is generated when the Umpire has been associated with or removed from an Assignment on a Game.
- Umpire.AssignmentUpdate
- A message is generated to the Umpire when a Game where the Umpire is a member of the Crew has one or more key elements of the Game modified (the case sensitive field names are defined at Setting=GameKeys). This is the same as Umpire.MatchUpdate except the comparison for difference is restricted by the webmaster to a subset of the Games table fields.
- Umpire.CrewChange
- A message is generated when a change is made to any Position or Position Status on the Crew assigned to a Game that includes the Umpire.
- Umpire.GameUpdate
- A message is generated to the Umpire when a Game where the Umpire is a member of the Crew has one or more non-Position related elements of the Game modified.
- Umpire.Turnback
- A message is generated when any other Umpire completes a Turnback on any Match
Processing notes
Each recipient (Site User) will be able to subscribe to each of the identified Notify Activities, provided:
- Setting=Notify includes the Notify Activity (the Webmaster has authorized the Activity)
- The User has the related Role authorized in the Users table (e.g. Assignor, Referee, etc.)
Notification Message Content
The default message content (tsaMessage) delivered by the Notification mechanism is, by design, very brief so that it will fit well onto any target device, including Cellular Phones and similar devices. However, should you desire to modify/extend specific Notification message content, the Webmaster can do so by allocating a new Setting with a name in the general format:
Notify={Notify-Point}
The setting can contain a mixture of static text and the standard RidgeStar Text Formatting variables, including key elements from the Database Table(s) involved. As an example:
- Notify=Referee.AssignmentUpdate
- [tsaMessage] scheduled for [dmaDate] at [dmaTime] on [dfdName] between [dmaHome] and [dmaAway]
